Don't share your passwords with anyone

Cybersecurity basically means protecting our devices, data, and identity from online threats. Every time we use a smartphone, click on a link, or log in to a website, we leave behind small pieces of information. Hackers, scammers, and cybercriminals are always on the lookout for these details. That’s why cybersecurity practices like strong passwords, two-factor authentication, safe browsing, and updated software are essential. Without them, our personal information can be easily misused.
But along with protection, we also want freedom. Digital freedom means the right to access information, express opinions, and use the internet without unnecessary control or surveillance. It’s about having the digital space open and accessible to everyone. However, too much freedom without safety measures can create risks. For example, completely unrestricted platforms may spread misinformation, hate speech, or harmful content. That’s where the debate starts—how much control is necessary, and how much becomes too much?
Privacy is important

The ideal balance lies between safety and openness. Governments and tech companies must protect users through fair rules and secure platforms, but they also need to respect privacy, freedom of expression, and user rights. Users too must play their part by learning basic cybersecurity habits and being aware of how their data is used.

In the end, a safe digital world does not mean a restricted one. It simply means an internet where people can explore, learn, and connect without fear. When cybersecurity and digital freedom work together, online spaces become healthier, more trustworthy, and more empowering for everyone
